A series of contemporary scenes and monologues brilliantly reflect the joys and problems of growing up too quickly in America. The scenes are devastatingly honest, sometimes hilarious, always speaking from and to the heart. The monologues and two character scenes cover such diverse subjects as alcoholism, love, drugs, teacher-student rapport, teen pregnancy, suicide, and much more.

The show is an Encore Association Rising Star Production. Cast members must be between the ages of 16 and 21. The director seeks a multi-cultural cast of around a dozen actors, both male and female. Auditioners will read from the script.

Two eccentric sisters, all inside their sitting room, entertain severed heads, hold road-kill cat funerals, fight off banditos and tolerate a smack-talking ficus. The play, by Indianapolis playwright Emily Schwartz, welcomes you to the twisted world of Geneva and Jennifer Derbyshire.
