Orson Welles hailed Sorry, Wrong Number as the "best radio drama ever written." The play is a sequence of telephone conversations that begin when a Mrs. Stevenson, confined to her bed by an illness, overhears a telephone conversation between a hit man and his client arranging for the murder of "some poor innocent woman at 11:00" that very night. Mrs. Stevenson attempts to uncover the villains and save the victim with the telephone as her only resource. In Spotlight's unique version of this classic tale, the first act will be presented as the one-act play in its entirety. In act two, Spotlight presents the radio broadcast complete with improvisation and vintage commercials.
